I was diagnosed with Stage 1 N0 triple negative breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy on April 3, 2013, and a catheter placed in anticipation of SAVI radiation treatment. On April 5, my surgeon, Dr. Wil Sever, exchanged that catheter for the SAVI device. This took place in his office and the procedure was painless.

Beginning the following Monday morning I had 5 days of radiation treatment with my radiation oncologist Dr. David Adam Jones. I was able to continue working throughout the treatment. The SAVI was a bit uncomfortable and I was ready to have it removed on Friday, but I felt minimal discomfort during removal and I would definitely chose this treatment again.
